Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a stable material receiving low contact resistance with low contact pressure by making the thick ness of a metal layer formed by the diffusion of tin atoms in the coating layer and copper atoms in the basic material or in the foundation in the molten condition by heating at 0.4 to 1.2mum. CONSTITUTION:In the molten condition by heating, the thickness of a metal layer formed by the diffusion of the tin atoms in the coating layer and the copper atoms in the basic material or the foundation is made 0.4 to 1.2mum. That is, by heating and melting the tin or tin-lead alloy layer on a copper or copper alloy, a copper-tin alloy layer including the Cu6Sn5 phase and the Cu3Sn phase as a diffusion product of the copper in the basic material or in the foundation and the tin in the coating layer, and also including the other basic material elements, is formed.
