Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve control precision, by a method wherein a fundamental ignition timing is corrected so that the in-cylinder pressure maximum timing of on engine is coincided with a target value, and a fundamental fuel amount is corrected so that an ignition timing corrected according to the transient state of the engine is coincided with the fundamental ignition timing. CONSTITUTION:The in-cylinder pressure of an engine is detected by a pressure detecting means (a), the running state of an engine is detected by a running state detecting means (b), and the transient state of the engine is detected by a transient state detecting means (c). A timing at which the in-cylinder pressure is maximized is detected by a maximum timing detecting means (d), and the target value of an in-cylinder pressure maximum timing is set by a target setting means (e). Meanwhile, a fundamental ignition timing is set by an ignition timing set means (f), and a fundamental ignition timing is corrected so that an in-cylinder pressure maximum timing is coincided with a target value. A fundamental fuel amount is set by a feed amount set means (g), and fundamental fuel is corrected so that a correction ignition timing is coincided with the fundamental ignition timing. Air-fuel mixture is ignited by an ignition means (h) according to an output from the means (f), and fuel is fed by a feed means (i) according to an output from the means (g).
