Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the transient responsiveness particularly in the supercharge in a low speed range by effectively reducing the turbo lag by driving a supercharger in one cylinder group by the exhaust energy in other cylinder group, in the constitution in which the supercharger is installed independently for each cylinder group. CONSTITUTION:In a six-cylinder V-shaped engine in which the first cylinder group P is constituted from three cylinders A, C, and E in the discontinuous ignition order and the second cylinder group Q is constituted from other three cylinders B, D, and F, the blower 24s of the first supercharger 24 in high speed exhaust turbo system which is driven by the exhaust energy supplied from the second cylinder group Q is interposed into the suction passage 22 of the first cylinder group P. The turbine 24t of the supercharger 24 is interposed into the exhaust passage 39 in the second cylinder group Q. The blower 28a of the second supercharger in the variable capacity type exhaust turbo system which is driven by the exhaust energy supplied from the first cylinder group P is interposed into an intake passage 23 in the second cylinder group Q, and the turbine 28t of the supercharger 28 is interposed into an exhaust passage 37 in the first cylinder group P.
