Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of high speed and high output in an engine by setting up a feed-exhaust valve doubling as a feed valve and an exhaust valve, in a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:One feed-exhaust valve 101 doubling as a feed valve and an exhaust valve is set up in a cylinder hear 4 upward a combustion chamber 2. A check valve 107 is installed in the midway of an air charging passage 6 to be connected to a feed pipe 7. In addition, an exhaust control valve 109 is installed in the midway of an exhaust passage 14 to be connected to an exhaust pipe 15. Since it is set down to a single valve system, a valve area can be made larger and, what is more, feed-exhaust efficiency is improvable. With this constitution, an engine can be promoted to higher speed and output than ever before.
