USE:A color-developing agent for heat-sensitive, pressure-sensitive or thermal transfer-type recording material, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III in the presence of a dehydrative condensation agent (e.g. acetic anhydride, phosphorus oxychloride, sulfuric acid or AlCl3) at 50-200 deg.C.
