Abstract

PURPOSE: To reform water and to accelerate the formation of a rust inhibitive film by acting a rust inhibitor consisting of a phosphate system and silicate system to the water which is enhanced in activation and mineralized by electrolysis.
CONSTITUTION: The raw water to be passed to a feed water pipe system is electrolyzed via an electric osmosis membrane by which the active power thereof is enhanced and the metal ions such as Ca2+ and Mg2+ are eluted therein. The rust inhibitor consisting of the phosphate system and the silicate system is acted on this electrolyzed water. The rust inhibitive components act sensitively to the water enhanced in the active power, by which the reaction of the rust inhibitor is accelerated. The effect of forming the rust inhibitive film by the components of the rust inhibitor is attained by the adsorption of the colloidal particles bonded to the metal ions such as Ca ions in the water. The Ca ions are formed on the cathode side of the electrolyzed water and since these ions are dissolved in the water as well even after the alkaline water and the acidic water are joined together, the film formation is actively promoted.
