Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a photoconductive film by incorporating a specified bisazo pigment having a condensed pyrazine ring. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive film of the electrophotographic sensitive body contains one of the pyrazine bisazo pigments represented by formula I in which A is one of the groups of formulae II-VI; R is H atom., alkyl, aryl, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbony, acyl group, halogen atom., or a monovalent organic group, and each may be same or different from each other; X is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or aromatic heterocyclic ring; Y is -CO-NR2 or -CO-O-R; and each of R1 and R2 is H atom., alkyl, aryl, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, acyl group, halogen atom., or a monovalent organic group; and Z is an atomic group necessary to condense the pyrazine ring and to form an aromatic hydrocarbon ring aromatic heterocyclic ring. Since this bisazo pigment is used as a photoconductive compound, this photoconductive film, and the electrophotographic sensitive body using it can be enhanced in sensitivity.
