Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase drying and burning efficiency, improve deodorizing performance and minimize the titled apparatus by a method wherein infrared rays are radiated, garbage in a vessel is dried and burnt successively from its surface side and simultaneously the moisture of the garbage is evaporated by microwaves. CONSTITUTION:Microwaves generated from a microwave generator M, while being partly absorbed into the wall face of a ceramics cylinder 2, are reflected and substantially absorbed into the moisture of garbage 4. Consequently, the temperature of the garbage 4 rises, and the moisture thereof is turned into water vapor which ascends inside a furnace. In this instance, the wall of the furnace, which temperature is elevated by the absorption of the microwaves, is further brought into a high temperature by means of a heat generating unit H. Thus, strong far-infrared rays are radiated to the surface of the garbage to promote the drying of the garbage and prevent the same from being formed into a hard mass. On the upper portion of the ceramics cylinder 2, the water vapor which has risen is warmed up and introduced into a deodorizing device 15. This apparatus presents a combustion phenomenon that the garbage is gradually burnt from its outer surface side as it is dried and that when it is further dried, the temperature of an ignition ceramics 6 for ignition becomes high and the combustion is carried out even from the inside of the garbage, thereby reducing it to ashes with good efficiency.
