Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the rearrangement of a soldering equipment by providing the measuring means of the characteristic of a heating chip and controlling the voltage and current fed to the heating chip based on the measured characteristic. In the case of using the reflow power source 4 by incorporating it into an IC packaging device, the characteristics of the resistance value, etc., of the heating chip 2 and copper wires 3A, 3B at the power source input time are measured by a command circuit 7. In this case, the optimum output pattern of the voltage and current is automatically decided by the circuit 7 based on the preset heating temp. of the chip 2, its rise time and over chute regulation value. The voltage and current setting at the heating chip 2 change time and preliminary test is thus made unnecessary. Consequently the rearrangement of a soldering equipment is facilitated.
