Abstract

PURPOSE:To feed an electronic flash device properly with automatic feeding, by controlling the feeding of the flash device in accordance with the feed detection of a camera. CONSTITUTION:When the power switch of an electronic flash device is switched to the camera interlocking mode and the camera selects the electric control mode, a power switch SW12 of the electronic flash device is connected to a contact (f), and a main capacitor C16 is charged during the time of a time constant due to a capacitor C17 and a resistance R31, and feeding is broken by turning- off of transistors TRs Q33 and Q34. Under this state, when the feeding of the camera is detected to turn on a feed TRQ1, the electronic flash device is fed from a constant current source 6 through terminals T2 and T2' properly automatically as long as the camera is fed. Consequently, the failure of flash photography due to the erroneous operation of a feed switch, wasteful power consumption after the completion of photography, etc. are prevented.
