Abstract

PURPOSE: To fluidize molding sand stored, to remove moisture, to rapidly cool and to smoothen sending of the molding sand in an air piping by injecting air from a nozzle vertically arranged in a vacuum action chamber connecting with a hopper and air sending pipe through dampers and exhausting air from space at outer periphery of inner shell having fine holes.
CONSTITUTION: The air supplying pipe 11 vertically hanging down is arranged at center part of the vacuum action chamber 1 connecting with the hopper A and the air sending pipe 12 through dampers 4, 4a at upper and lower parts thereof. Compressed air injecting from the nozzle 14 at lower end of this air supplying pipe 11 fluidizes, floats and stirs the molding sand S stored in the vacuum action chamber 5 shut with the dampers 4, 4a, to remove the moisture of the molding sand S at short time and to rapidly cool it and the moisture is absorbed and exhausted to the exhaust pipe 15 from the space between the inner shell 9 having many fine holes 8 and the outer shell 15. This moisture-removed and rapidly cooled molding sand S is smoothly sent out to the air sending pipe 12 by opening the lower part damper 4a. Therefore, adjustment and sending of the molding sand S is smoothly executed and the equipment cost is remarkably reduced.
