Abstract

PURPOSE: To exactly detect a bent angle and to obtain the bent angle high in reliability by providing a plurality of electrostatic capacity bent angle sensors on either an upper or a lower die, extending those sensors in the direction along the bent line and arranging them in parallel.

CONSTITUTION: Change of electrostatic capacity to a work WA is converted by electrostatic capacity type sensors 23A, 23B at the distance A, B converting part from electric voltage changed through an A/D converter to distances A, B. The converted distances A, B are inputted into an arithmetic processing part. On one hand, a set value θ₂ of angle prestored in an angle reference setting and storing section and a set value (l) of length prestored in a length reference setting and storing section are inputted in advance respectively in the arithmetic processing part. The bent angle θ of the work is obtained at the arithmetic processing unit and transferred to the display section to be displayed on a display or a printer. In this manner, the bent angle θ of the work W is measured accurately and precisely and bending work is conducted efficiently.
