Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the field-type sensor to stably sense the moving direction of an object by arranging a plurality of sensing wires on both sides of an exciting wire supplied with an oscillation output and dividing one of the detection output levels of the sensing wires by the other.
CONSTITUTION: The exciting wire 2 supplied with the oscillation output from an oscillator 1 is provided and at least two sensing wires 8a and 8b are arranged on both sides of the wire 2. One of the detection output levels of the sensing wires 8a and 8b is divided by the other through a detector 4 and a divising circuit 5 in order to detect the divided output varying with the moving direction of the object being sensed through a moving direction sensing circuit 6. The constitution permits the moving direction of such object as a human body to be sensed, and since the sensing is performed by using the voltage ratio after detection, the detecting voltage has no variation with the voltage fluctuation, and so the moving direction of the object can be stably sensed.
