Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent ply separation during a manufacturing process and at the time of using at a high temperature, by a method wherein an axial longitudinal cross section of an external circumferential surface of a metallic joint member is made a corrugated form by putting the metallic joint member on the inside of a connecting part between the metallic joint member and an FRP pipe body, and a specific buffer layer for absorbing a thermal expansion/contraction difference is provided between both the members. CONSTITUTION:A pipe body 1 is comprised of an FRP material due to filament winding molding. A connecting part 10 of an end part of the pipe body 1 with a joint member 2 is molded so that an outside diametral side of the connecting part 10 is upset to the other general part 11 and stuck close to a corrugated part 20 of the joint member 2 through a buffer layer 3. An axial longitudinal cross section of a corrugated part 20 is of a corrugated form, which strengthens connection between the pipe body 1 and joint member 2 in an axial direction. It is necessary that the buffer layer 3 is formed of the FRP material containing at most 45wt.% of glass fiber or of single resin substance. With this construction, a linear expansion coefficient of the same layer becomes a little higher than that of a joint member material and peeling tendency between the pipe body 1 and joint member 2 is cushioned and prevented.
