Abstract

PURPOSE:To control a voltage with a good efficiency and at high speed by connecting a transistor in parallel with a filter capacitor and by turning ON and discharging said transistor when the output of an error amplifier is less than the negative prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A voltage controller is composed of an error amplifier A1, a comparator COP, a transistor Q, a rectifier circuit RE and others to supply power to a load RL. Further, a transistor Qd is connected between both ends of a capacitor C1 via a resistance Rd and the base electrode thereof is connected with the output end of a comparator COPd. The output voltage V1 of the error amplifier A1 is detected by said comparator COPd and changes to the negative saturation range, and said detection signal turns ON the transistor Qd and discharges the electric charge of the capacitor C1. As a result, when a reference voltage Er is changed, a DC high voltage V2 falls quickly, even if the load RL is light. Thus, a stable control becomes possible as a whole.
