Abstract

PURPOSE:To safely measure a resistance value without passing eddy current to a resistor to be measured and without impressing an overvoltage thereto by impressing current to the resistor from a zero initial value and monitoring the voltage. CONSTITUTION:A constant current source 30 which can be programmably set as well as a voltage comparator 83, a controller 80 and a voltage measuring instrument 4 are connected to the resistor 71 to be measured. The current impressed to the resistor 71 from the current source 30 is increased linearly from the zero initial value. The increase of the current is stopped by the instruction from the controller 80 when the controller 80 detects the attainment of the prescribed current value or voltage value directly or via the voltage comparator 83. The resistance value of the resistor 71 is then measured by computation from the current value of this time and the voltage value across the resistor 71 measured by a voltage measuring instrument 4.
