Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify maintenance work by detecting elongation through combination of first detectors arranged for every pitch of a conveyor chain having predetermined number of links and second detectors arranged with interval with respect to the first detectors. CONSTITUTION:When a conveyor chain 1 is operated to face a dog pusher 4 with a photoreceptor 6 in a first detector, light emitted from a light emission element 5 is blocked and a detection signal is fed from the photoreceptor 6 to a decision circuit 20, At the same time, a closest upstream dog pusher 4' faces with any one of photoreceptors 10-13 in a second detector and the light emitted from a light emission element 7 is blocked. At this time, a photoreceptor operatable corresponding to elongation of the conveyor chain 1 moves from position 10 to 13. Consequently, a signal is fed from a photoreceptor at a position corresponding to the elongation to the decision circuit 20 which decides the elongation. Then an alarm is provided and the dog pusher 4 is marked based on the decision result. In such a manner, maintenance work can be simplified.
