Abstract

PURPOSE: To predict the fault caused by the elongation of chain for plural row type chain conveyor, by providing two chain pass detectors at the pulling side of main chain wheel and detecting the local elongation of chain during the operation.
CONSTITUTION: The plural row type chain conveyor is consisted of main chain wheels 2a, 2b, tension chain wheels 3a, 3b and submersible chain wheels 4a, 4b provided at both sides of a precipitation pond 1, where chains 5a, 5b are stretched over them. Here proximity detectors 7a, 8a, 7b, 8b are provided at the tension side of chains 5a, 5b stretched over main chain wheels 2a, 2b while a plurality of detection chips 9a, 9b are provided to each chain. Time limit device 10 is functioned for predetermined time by the signal from the detectors 7a, 7b, and when the detectors 8a, 8b produces signal in predetermined time interval an electromagnetic switch is opened to stop the operation.
