Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a film uniform in thickness from a small quantity of coating liquid by coating a substrate giving ultrasonic vibration to the supporter of the substrate when a space between a film-forming surface of a relatively moving cylindrical substrate and a parallel surface of a coating jig makes up a reservoir part of coating liquid. CONSTITUTION:The reservoir part 5 of coating liquid is made up by the space between the surface 2 of the cylindrical substrate 1 being a coated surface and a ring-shaped coating jig 3 having a facing parallel surface 4, film is formed by relatively moving the substrate 1 and the jig 3 in the perpendicular direction. In this case, when film-forming coating is performed on the substrate surface giving ultrasonic vibration by ultrasonic vibrator 14 to the supporter 13 supporting the substrate surface 2 perpendicularly, coating material is dispersed uniformly in coated liquid to form very homogeneous film. In addition, the thickness of the film is controlled by the relative moving speed of the substrate 1 to the jig 3 and the viscosity of the coating liquid.
