Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure with high accuracy a direction and a range of a diving machine against a target position, by detecting a light beam from a light source provided on the target position, by plural optical coordinate detectors, and deriving the direction and the range against the target position from those optical image formed positions. CONSTITUTION:A light source unit 31 of a seismometer 30 turns on a light source part 31a, when an acoustic wave signal from a diving machine 10 is received. Optical coordinate detectors 20a, 20b photodetect a light beam from the light source unit, detect the X coordinate and the Y coordinate of the image formed position of a spot light which is brought to an image formation on the photodetecting surface and input them to a position calculating part 24. The position calculating part 24 derives the direction to the light source unit of the diving machine 10 from each coordinate of the optical image formed position. Subsequently, the position calculating part 24 executes a trigonometrical survey calculation based on the respective coordinates of the optical image formed position, the interval of the optical coordinate detectors 20a, 20b, and their light incident angle, and decides a range extending from the diving machine 10 to the light source unit 31.
