Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining a highly accurate results of analysis, by irradiating a chemical analysis slide with light of a light source lamp through a filter adapted to transmit light with a specified wavelength in stead of through a condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:After a chemical analysis slid with a substance to be measured dropped on a reagent layer is held at a constant temperature for a specified time, it is irradiated with a measuring light and the quantity of light reflected from the slide is measured to perform a quantitative analysis of the substance being measured. In other words, an opening 57 of a thermostat section 20 is circular in the shape, light from a light source lamp 58 is irradiated in a roughly oval form and light transmitted through a transparent glass plate irradiates the undersurface of a film 1b of the slide 1. Then, the reflected light thereof is received with a light receiver 59. Thus, light reflected from the undersurface of the film 1b of the analysis slide 1 will not be intercepted by an rim of the opening 57 of the thermostat section 20 before reaching the light receiver 59 regardless variations in the height of the film 1b with a variance in the thickness of a frame 1a of the analysis slide 1. This eliminates changes in the light measuring accuracy thereby obtaining highly accurate results of analysis.
