Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance cooling efficiency by bonding a sealed hollow central cooler to a hollow refrigerant liquefying unit, providing refrigerant in a sealed cavity, and cooling a material to be cooled by utilizing the evaporation heat of the refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:A sealed hollow central cooler 1 is bonded to a hollow disc-type refrigerant liquefying unit 4. Refrigerant 6 which is evaporated by heating and liquefied by cooling is provided in a sealed cavity 2. When the temperature of an integrated circuit element 20 mounted on a substrate 30 rises, its heat is transmitted through a heat absorbing surface 3 into the refrigerant 6 in the cavity 2. When the temperature of the refrigerant 6 rises, a convection 50 occurs to cool the cooler 1. The evaporated refrigerant 6 is liquefied by the unit 4 cooled by cooling gas 15, and absorbed by the original refrigerant 6 through the wall face of the unit 2.
