Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the memory control by designating a page size in a large unit and at the same time mixing a conventional page size into a main memory when the continuous data of a large capacity like the picture data, etc., is stored into the main memory. CONSTITUTION:A page filed P of a logical address 5 is divided into a page field P2, i.e., the page unit of a conventional size and a large page field P1, i.e., the page unit of a size having a multiple different from the conventional size. Then a page table 8 is provided to control the page unit of the same size as the conventional one in case of a large capacity and satisfy such a request to collect plural pages of conventional sizes into a large size. Thus the conversion is possible into a real address even with a large-capacity and conventional sizes.
