PURPOSE:To stop the restoration of blow-by gas as well as to eliminate the promotion of overrichness in an air-fuel ratio by closing the cutoff device installed in a blow-by gas passage interconnecting a crankcase and a suction passage through when a fact that an engine is started was judged. CONSTITUTION:A suction passage 1 at the downstream of a throttle valve 2 and a cylinder head cover chamber 17a of a first bank A both are interconnected to each other by a first passage 19a. And, in this first passage 19a, there is provided with a cutoff valve 21. In addition, the cylinder head cover chamber 17a of the first bank A and a crankcase 18 both are interconnected to each other by a second passage 19b. And, blow-by gas inside the crankcase 18 is restored to the suction passage 1 through these first and second passages 19a and 19b. On the other hand, each signal out of a starter switch 25 and an engine speed sensor 26 is inputted into a controller 24. With this constitution, at time of enging starting, the cutoff 21 is closed and simultaneously restoration of the blow-by gas is stopped.
