Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a three position actuator in simple structure and inexpensive, by changing the direction of rotating force pursuant to the feeding direction to a coil and by allowing it to self-reset to the neutral position by means of magnetic braking force.
CONSTITUTION: Opposite to a wing section 13b in the neutral position of rotation of a core 13, an N-pole and an S-pole are magnetized on the upper part 6a of a magnet 6, whose magnetic force is constituted so as to be confined by the wing section 13b. On the left side section 6c of the magnet 6 an N-pole and an S-pole are magnetized from outside to inside the magnet 6, while on the right side section 6d of the magnet 6 the same magnetization in the reverse direction is performed. If a coil 16 is not excited, then the magnetic path will be closed by the wing section 13b and projecting sections 13c and 13d and the magnetic path will be braked to the neutral position. If a coil 14 is excited in one direction, then the wing section 13b and projecting sections 13c and 13d will turn out to be of reverse polarity and the coil 14 will pivot in one direction. If the excitation is performed reversely, then the coil 14 will pivot in a reverse direction.
