PURPOSE:To obtain the slag treatment device which stably scrapes out tue slag of any property generated in a pig-iron trough of blast furnace to the outside of the trough by providing a mold conveyer under the top end of a slag trough provided on the side wall of the pig-iron trough of blast furnace and furnishing a scraper plate above the slag trough. CONSTITUTION:The slag 2 containing impurities in molten pig-iron which is generated when refining is carried out in a pig-iron trough 1 of blast furnace, is floated on the molten pig-iron due to the difference of specific gravities between the slag and the molten pig-iron 5. Especially, strong basic slag is retained in the vicinity of a slat trough 3 provided to discharge slag. Therefore, the slag 2 is scraped out to the outside of the trough 1 by the arm 16 having the scraper plate 4 and the mechanism moving the scraper plate 4 along its reciprocating direction and by a slag discharging machine movable along the rail provided in the longitudinal direction of the trough. At the same time, the slag 2 is supplied to a slag transfer machine 10 continuously rotated, and received with a mold conveyer 6, and the slag 2 supplied to the conveyer 6 is continuously transferred to a specified slag discharge position 12, and exfoliated and dropped down by itself at a mold reversing position as soon as the mold is turned upside down.
