Abstract

The material 5 is circumferentially heated by a high frequency induction heater 6, and moved longitudinally at a predetermined speed while spraying cold water by a cooler 7. Since the heated part is restricted at both ends by the cooler, a plastically deformed part bent in a ring shape directed toward a center with respect to the longitudinal direction is formed. Since the heater 6 and the coolers 7, 7 are relatively moved to relatively pass the heated part at the deformed part to be cooled, it is, on the contrary, largely contracted in diameter to provide a large tightening margin, thereby tightening the material 5 to the material 4.
