Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to shorten brazing time and to reduce the quantity of brazing material to be used by providing spot-facing grooves concentrically with a plurality of heat transfer tube holes of tubular plates. CONSTITUTION:Tubular plates 2 and 3 having a plurality of heat transfer tube holes 9 and grooves 10 in the same number as the heat transfer holes 9 at the concentric positions thereof, are welded and fixed to both ends of a shell plate 1, and a plurality of heat transfer tubes 6 penetrating through the tubular plates 2 and 3 are fixed by brazing. Thereafter, the heat exchanger is constituted so that side lids 4 and 5 can be immediately welded and fixed to the tubular plates 2 and 3 without carrying out any repair work by manual finishing. That is, since grooves 10 at concentric positions, having a diameter slightly larger than that of heat transfer tube holes 9, the brazing material does not flow out to the surroundings upon brazing the heat transfer tube 6 to the tubular plates 2 and 3 and does not adhere to the surface of the welded part A'' of the side lid 4. Further, it is possible to reduce the quantity of the brazing material to be used and to prevent inferior brazing due to non-uniformity in the application of the brazing material.
