Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide excellent high-temperature creep characteristics in an extremely short time, by heat-treating the heat resistant super alloy by the specified method by using first and second heat treatment facilities furnished with high frequency induction heating and heat insulation coils and cooling parts. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistant super alloy member W is heated to a high temperature just below fusing point by an induction heating coil 1 of a first heat treatment facility a, and, with inner and outer temperature difference being uniformly held for 30-60 seconds by a heat insulation coil 2 which adjoins the coil 1, is cooled in water in a cooling part 3. Then, the member W is heated to a high temperature slightly lower than the temperature of the primary heat treatment by a induction heating oil 11 of a second heat treatment facility b, and is processed similarly as in the primary heat treatment by means of heat insulation coil 21 and water-cooling part 31. The high frequency induction heating and heat insulation coils 11, 21 are set so that the pitch interval in the central part of the coil may be 2-4 times the pitch interval at the inlet side and the same or slightly smaller at the outlet side as compared with the inlet side. As a result, the uniform heat insulation performance of the material being heated may be excellent as compared with the case of other methods, and the specified uniform heat treatment may be achieved in a short time in an inexpensive equipment.
