Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity by adding and mixing alkaline metal halogenide to phosphor layer forming material containing accelerated-phosphorescent bivalent europium activation alkaline earth metal fluoride halogenide phosphor and forming a phosphor layer by forming and sintering. CONSTITUTION:Methyl ethyl ketone is added to mixture composed of powdery bivalent europium activation fluoride barium bromide phosphor (BaFBr: 0.001Eu<2+>), sodium bromide (NaBr) and acrylate resin corresponding to 1wt.% of said phosphor, and dispersion liquid containing phosphor particles in a dispersion condition is prepared. The dispersion liquid is sufficiently agitated and mixed application liquid is prepared and uniformly applied on a Teflon sheet. After the sheet is applied, it is dried, put on a quartz plate, put in a high temperature electric furnace, and evaporation of binding agent and sintering of the phosphor are performed. After the sheet is sintered, it is cooled and a phosphor layer is formed. The phosphor layer (a figure is shown) of a radiation conversion panel in which alkaline metal halogenide is added in the above method has considerably high sensitivity as compared with the substance in which alkaline metal halogenide is not added.
