Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve tracking resistance, to injection mold with thermoplastic resin, to simplify manufacturing steps, to improve its yield, and to reduce a manufacturing cost by mixing a ceramic member pulverized to powderlike state and talc with the thermoplastic resin at a specific ratio, and using the mixture for a high withstand voltage capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is used, for example, as a high dielectric inorganic material, and baked barium titanate is pulverized by a jet milling method to 1 to 10μm of mean particle size. On the other hand, talc is similarly pulverized to 1 to 10μm. They are so mixed, for example, with polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) at the ratio of 20W80wt.% of BaTiO2, 10W30wt.% of talc and 10W50wt.% of PBT by a kneader as to be sufficiently dispersed to produce thermoplastic resin containing the talc. Capacitor electrodes are set in the cavity of a metal mold, regulated thermoplastic resin 14 is melted and poured in the cavity, and insert injection molded.
