Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-strength austenitic heat-resistant steel reduced in Si content and excellent in creep rupture life, by specifying a composition consisting of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni, Mo, W, B, Nb, Ti, N, and Fe. CONSTITUTION:A high-strength austenitic heat-resistant steel reduced in Si content can be obtained by providing a composition which consists of, by weight, 0.02-0.15% C, <=0.15% Si, <=1.50% Mn, 17.0-26.0% Cr, 15.0-40.0% Ni, <=3.0% Mo and/or <=6.0% W, 0.001-0.01% B, <=0.5% Nb and/or <=0.2% Ti, 0.03-0.23% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and further contains, if necessary, <=0.15%, in total, of one or more kinds among <=0.1% Zr, <=0.1% Al, <=0.05% Ca, <=0.05% Mg, <=0.05% Y, and <=0.05% rare-earth element and in which Cr+60Si<=29.0%, Mo+1/2W=0.3-4.0%, Mo+1/2W+60Si<=10.0%, Nb+Ti=0.10-0.50%, and Nb+10Si<=1.80% are satisfied.
