Abstract

PURPOSE:To properly section each handwriting character by providing a switch to input the delimiting signal of the character per character of the handwriting character. CONSTITUTION:Each time one handwriting character is inputted, a switch 3 of a keyboard is turned on. The ON signal of the switch 3 is outputted through a one-shot wave shape shaping circuit 4 to a processing circuit 5. The processing circuit 5 outputs a command signal by a signal from the circuit 4 to a frame memory 2 to store a digital signal from a sampling circuit 1 to sampling-binarize the handwriting input character and the digital signal is sectioned as information in respective character unit. For the sectioned digital signal, a matching processing with a standard dictionary 9 is executed in a matching circuit 8 through a preceding processing circuit 6 and a feature extracting circuit 7 and a recognized result is outputted. Thus, the handwriting character inputted continuously is properly sectioned as unit information per character and recognizing rate can be improved.
