Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy identification among the kana (Japanese syllabary), Chinese characters and phrases respectively for a processing system that edits an input of a kana sentence into a sentence including Chinese characters, by detecting the difference of key touches in the key operation of a kana keyboard. CONSTITUTION:The pressing force P of the kana key 10 on the keyboard 1 is reduced and increased for a kana letter and a Chinese character respectively. Thus the strong and weak detection signals B1 and B2 are obtained. On the other hand, the character code C is selected through the character detecting circuit 5 and regardless of the force P. The signals B1 and B2 are identified at the identifying circuit 4, and thus the Chinese character signal K and the kana letter signal N are produced to be sent to the converting circuit 6. The circuit 6 extracts the necessary Chinese characters or phrases out of the dictionary table 7 by using the signals C, K and N to exchange them with the kana letters of a kana input sentence. Then these kana letters are sent to the sentence memory 8 in the form of a sentence signal S to be stored there. The signal S is then read out to be displayed at the display part 9.
