Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a connecting wiring between a thin film head and a recording/reproducing circuit, and to reduce the influence of a noise, exerted on a signal transfer, by providing an IC chip-shaped recording/reproducing circuit on a slider block in the vicinity of the thin film head. CONSTITUTION:An IC chip-shaped recording/reproducing circuit 20 is attached onto a slider block 12 in the vicinity of a thin film head constituted of a coil 10 and a gap 11. The recording/reproducing circuit 20 is connected to a led pad part 13 by wire bonding, and connected to a lead wire of the coil 10 through the lead pad part 13. Also, the recording/reproducing circuit 20 is connected to each wiring of a power source, a ground, a write signal, a write current, and a read output through each lead pad provided on the slider block 12. In this way, a connecting wiring between the recording/reproducing circuit 20 and the thin film head is shortened, and the influence of a noise from the outside being exerted on a signal transfer can be reduced.
