The opening roller combs and opens the sliver supplied from the feed roller by means of opening elements such as metal wire saw teeth wound around its circumferential surface or implanted pins, and holds the sliver. It has the function of transporting the fibers to the fiber transport channel leading into the spinning rotor. When opening the sliver, it is necessary that the saw teeth or pins penetrate deep enough into the fiber layer of the sliver to always scrape off an appropriate amount of fibers, otherwise the fibers may harden and be pulled out. Reduces the quality of the yarn obtained.

In recent years, with the rationalization of the pre-spinning process, the weight per unit length of the sliver unloaded from the drawing machine supplied to open-end spinning machines has tended to increase. is becoming necessary. As shown in Figure 3, in the conventional open-end spinning machine, the sliver S
After being collected by the collector 1, the fibers are held between an actively driven feed roller 2 and a presser 4 pressed against the feed roller 2 by a spring 3, and are flattened and fed to the opening roller 5. Since the width of the sliver is regulated to be constant, the thicker the sliver, the thicker it naturally becomes. Therefore, in order to provide a sufficient opening effect, the number of saw teeth or pins on the peripheral surface of the opening roller 5 should be increased so that the amount of processed fibers per unit number of needles does not exceed an appropriate value. At the same time, it is necessary that the saw teeth or pins penetrate the sliver deeply enough to separate and parallelize the fibers.

Increasing the number of needle heads of the saw teeth or pins in this way naturally increases the needle head density. In conventional opening rollers, the heights of the saw teeth are all the same, so this has the effect of reducing the distance between each adjacent needle head and improving the contact between the sliver surface and the opening roller. In this case, the needle head tends to press against the surface of the fiber layer rather than penetrating into the interior of the fiber layer. Therefore, even though the number of needle heads was increased, there was a problem that the opening efficiency deteriorated.

The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art, and is particularly concerned with improving a spreading roller using a metallic wire equipped with serrated spreading elements. A fiber opening roller for an open-end spinning machine, which has a tip with an inclined working angle and is provided with multiple types of serrations of different heights, alternately every 1 or 2 teeth in the circumferential direction of the roller. This is what we provide.

FIG. 1 shows the sawtooth of a metallic wire to which the present invention is applied. As is well known, the metallic wire 11 is wound spirally along the outer periphery of the cylindrical main body 12 of the opening roller 5, and has a large number of sawteeth 13 protruding from the surface of the main body 12 to serve as a spreading element. . The present invention is characterized in that the group of saw teeth is composed of a plurality of types having different heights. In the example of FIG.
Every other tall element 13 as saw teeth 13 on top
a and short element 13b (high Ha and
Hb) are arranged alternately. On top of that,
The working angle θa of one of the spreading elements 13a has a different value from the working angle θb of the other spreading element 13b.

Due to the arrangement of the saw teeth 13 as described above, the needle heads are present in two layers with different heights on the outer periphery of the opening roller 5, and the needle head density in each layer is substantially halved. When encountering the fiber layer of the supplied sliver, first the tall elements 13
The needle a comes into contact with the surface fiber layer, but since the needle head density is reduced as described above, it digs into the fiber layer well and opens the fibers in that portion. Next, the shorter element 13b comes into contact with the fiber layer, but since this element also has a reduced needle head density, it can easily bite into the fiber layer and perform the opening action. Therefore, all the sawteeth 13 can effectively participate in the fiber opening action, so that the effect of increasing the number of needle heads can be fully enjoyed.

When the working angle is made small, the fibers tend to slide along the working surface of the sawtooth, so the teeth 13a having the aforementioned small working angle θa move the fibers to the opening roller 5.
The force of pushing the sliver toward the center is strong, making it easier for the sliver to come into contact with the shorter teeth 13b, and thereby a better opening effect can be expected.

Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, there are cases in which both high and low elements 13a and 13b are arranged in a repeating manner of high, high, and low, and elements 13a and 13b with three different heights.
A similar effect can be obtained by arranging 13b and 13c sequentially.

As detailed above, according to the present invention, multiple types of serrated fiber spreading elements with different heights are mixedly provided on the circumferential surface of one fiber spreading roller, thereby increasing the overall number of needle heads. However, the needle head density of each type of element can be substantially reduced, and since each element acts on the fiber layer sequentially according to its height, smooth fiber opening can be performed. becomes. For this reason, even when a sliver with a large weight per unit length is supplied, sufficient fiber opening action can be performed, and high quality yarn can be spun using completely separated and stretched fibers. It becomes possible to do so.
