(Prior Art) The operator of a motorcycle operates by placing his feet on a footrest provided on the side of the vehicle (see Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 150157/1983).
In recent high-speed cars, the steps tend to be placed closer to the front so that it is easier to take a lower riding position. However, when the steps are placed closer to the front, the heels tend to fall back, making the feet more prone to fatigue.

In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, the inventor first devised a step that can support the heel with the step, thereby preventing foot fatigue and making long-distance driving particularly comfortable. An example of this is shown in FIGS. 1 to 4.

In FIG. 1, a step 11 is provided on the side of a vehicle body frame 10.
The operator's feet 22 are placed on the mount. This step 1
1 is placed slightly further forward than usual, thereby making it easier for the operator to lean forward and take a low posture.

As shown in the plan view of FIG. 2, in the step 11, a metal step main body 13 extending to the side of the vehicle body is attached to a bracket 12 fixed to the vehicle body frame 10 through a bolt 15 so that it can move vertically ( When the step 11 is in use, it is set horizontally, and when it is not in use, it is set vertically.

A hard elastic body 16 such as rubber is placed on the top of the step body 13, and as shown in FIG. A bolt 20 is inserted from below through an insertion hole 19 provided in the lower part of the step body 13, and is screwed into the insertion hole 19 of the core member 18 to fix the elastic body 16 to the step body 13.

A support part 21 for supporting a heel 23 is integrally formed on the lower rear side 13a of the step main body 13 in FIG. It is now possible to put it on the 21st.

In the above configuration, by placing the heel 23 on the support portion 21 provided on the rear side of the step body 13 and operating the vehicle, the foot 22 becomes comfortable, and long-distance driving in particular can be carried out comfortably.

However, when the step 11 shown in FIG. 2 is raised vertically when not in use, the support portion 21 often interferes with a mounted object such as an engine cover of a motorcycle.

(Purpose of the invention) This invention was made in view of the above points,
An object of the present invention is to provide a step for a two-wheeled motor vehicle that can be raised and lowered freely and can prevent foot fatigue and has less interference with objects mounted on the two-wheeled motor vehicle.

(Structure of the invention) In order to achieve the above object, this invention first includes a support part that supports the heel of the step body when the foot is on the step body. The rear edge of the support part is tilted forward as it goes outward from the side of the vehicle body, and the support part is formed into a substantially triangular shape to prevent the feet from getting tired. This prevents interference between the part and the loaded object.

In FIG. 5, reference numeral 21A denotes a support portion that supports the heel 23 only on the lower rear side 13a of the step body 13 with the foot 22 resting on the step body 13. The support portion 21A has a rear edge 2
1a is formed in a substantially triangular shape, slanting forward (arrow F) as it goes outward (arrow A) to the side of the vehicle body. Note that the other configurations are the same as those shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 above, and detailed explanation and illustration thereof will be omitted.

In the above configuration, first, the legs 22 are not placed parallel to the vehicle body as shown in FIG.
As shown in the diagram, the toe 24 of the foot 22 is pointing outward A from the vehicle body.
It is placed diagonally towards the Therefore, heel 2
3 is located closer to the inside of the vehicle body. Therefore, even if the support part 21A is formed into a triangular shape, the heel 23 can be supported by the support part 21A, which makes the feet comfortable, and especially long-distance driving can be carried out comfortably.

Further, the support portion 21A has a triangular shape,
In other words, unnecessary portions are cut out, so that when the step 11 is raised toward the vehicle body, there is little risk that the support portion 21A will interfere with a mounted object such as an engine cover. Moreover, the weight of the motorcycle can be reduced by the amount of the notch.

Note that the support portion 21A may be made separate from the step body 13 and fixed to the step body 13 with bolts or the like.

(Effects of the invention) As explained above, according to this invention, it is possible to rest the heel on the support part, which prevents foot fatigue and allows for comfortable driving, especially over long distances. Further, since the support portion is triangular, interference between the support portion and the loaded object can be prevented, and the weight of the motorcycle can be reduced.
