Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic effective in smoothening the skin and preventing gray hair and having excellent effect for the beauty and health of skin and hair, by compounding an extract of raw or dried rhizome of Panax notoginseng to a cosmetic base for skin or hair. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic can be produced by adding an extract of raw or dried rhizome of Panax notoginseng known as a drug having hemostatic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions to a base for skin or hair cosmetic at an amount of preferably about 0.1-20wt.% based on the cosmetic base.
