Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は熱転写プリンタに関し特にインクリボンの識別
に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来この種のカラー印字の場合において１つのカラーイ
ンクリボンを４色（赤、黄、青、黒）にわけておシ必要
な色に応じてセンサーで識別してまき取９をおこなりて
いた。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
上述した従来の印字機構では力２−印字において１つの
カラーインクリボンで４色にわけていた為１色を使う時
には他の３色をまき取る為カラーインクリボンのムダが
多いという欠点があった。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明の印字機構はキャリアに２つのヘッドを持ち２個
のリボンカセットを搭載し両方向印字が可能であると共
にそれぞれのリボンカセットのインクの色を識別し必要
な側の印字ヘッドで印字をおこなう事を有している。
〔実施例〕
０次に本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
図面は本発明の一実施例である。本機構は、キャリアに
２つの印字ヘッドを持ちキャリアがプラテンに対して平
行に左右に移動するものである、７キヤリアの２つの印
字ヘッドの内在側の印字ヘッド３は、矢印のＦ（フォワ
ード）方向の時に用紙に印字をおこない右側の印字ヘッ
ド７は矢印のＲ（リバース）方向の時に用紙に印字をお
こなう。
たとえばリボンカセット４にまかれているインクリボン
５は赤と黄の２色のリボンであシリボンカセット８にま
かれているインクリボン９は青と黒の２色のリボンを使
用しているとすれば赤又は黄の印字であればセンサー６
と１０の識別により左側のリボンカセット４のインクリ
ボン５と印字ヘクト３によシ矢印のＦ（７オワード）方
向に印字をおこなう。セして青又は黒の印字であれば右
側のリボンカセット８のインクリボン９と印字ヘッド７
によシ矢印のＲ（リバース）方向に印字をおこなう。
又両方のインクリボンが黒インクリボンであればセンサ
ー６と１０の識別によシ両方向印字となシ印字速度が上
がる。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は印字ヘッドを２つ持ちリボ
ンカセットのインクリボンを識別する事によシ左右のリ
ボンカセットを使いわけ両方向の印字によるリボンのム
ダなまき取シを少なくすることができる効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 熱転写プリンタのキャリアに２つのヘッドを持ち２個の
    リボンカセットを搭載し両方向印字が可能であると共に
    それぞれのリボンカセットのインクの色を識別し必要な
    側の印字ヘッドで印字をおこなう事を特徴とする熱転写
    プリンタのインクリボン識別機構。
