Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the uplift of a structure by a method in which PC steels having earth anchors on their lower ends are penetrated into an excavated pit, concrete is placed, and a prestress is introduced into the PC steels.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing bar cage 4, a tremie tube 5, and a PC steel 1 having an earth anchor 2 on its lower end are penetrated to the bottom of an excavated pit C formed to a given bearing layer B. Concrete is then placed into the pit C while pulling up the tube 5 to fix the anchor 2 to the tip of the concrete pile A, and the PC steel 1 is tensed. Since downward forces are applied to the pile, the uplift of a structure by water pressures, etc., can be effectively prevented.
