In general, belt conveyors cannot carry loads, especially scraps, upward in a vertical direction or at a steep angle, so the belt conveyor has been made to have a somewhat gentle slope to convey the loads upward. Therefore, a fairly large installation area was required to transport the load upward.

Therefore, conventionally, as shown in FIG. 8, a presser belt b having the same width as the drive belt a is used together with the drive belt a, and the ends of both belts a and b are used to prevent the cargo c from spilling. A method was devised in which the material is held down by a presser roller d. Therefore, in order to use the presser roller d, the end of the belt a is attached to the conveyed object c.
There had to be sufficient margin for Furthermore, when the presser roller d is not used, it is necessary to provide additional leeway at the end of the belt a. Therefore, it was necessary to use a wider belt than a general belt conveyor.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances to provide a belt conveyor for vertically transporting goods that can transport loads upwards with a narrow installation area. In a belt conveyor for vertical conveyance, which is arranged parallel to each other so that the surface parts of both belts face each other, and transports objects between the opposing surfaces of both belts,
The presser belt is made wider than the drive belt, and an endless presser belt similar to the presser belt is disposed behind the drive belt on opposing surfaces of both belts so as to be in contact with the back of the drive belt. , characterized in that the holding belts are provided with a holding device for bringing the ends of the holding belts into contact with each other so as to sufficiently overlap each other, and holding the conveyed object between the opposing surfaces of the drive belt and the holding belt. It is something.

As shown in FIG. 1, an endless drive belt 2 driven by a drive pulley 1 is disposed vertically, and the upper part of the drive belt 2 is extended to one side to form a delivery section 4 for a load 3. 2 is extended in the opposite direction to the carry-out section 4 to form a carry-in section 5 for the load 3, and a drive belt 2 is provided behind the drive belt 2.
A wider endless presser belt 6 (see FIG. 2) is disposed vertically, and the presser belt 6 is brought into contact with the back of the vertical portion of the drive belt 2 on the carry-in section 5 side, and the vertical portion of the presser belt 6 is A pressing device 9 consisting of pressing rollers 7 arranged in parallel at appropriate intervals and a pressing spring 8 that supports the group of pressing rollers 7 is provided behind the pressing device 9, and the vertical portion of the presser belt 6 that contacts the drive belt 2 is the driving belt. The drive belt 2 is configured to be pressed in the horizontal direction (X direction) on the carry-in part 5 side, and further has a part facing the vertical part of the drive belt 2 on the carry-in part 5 side.
An endless presser belt 10 wider than the drive belt 2
(see FIG. 2) are disposed in the vertical direction, and the upper part of the presser belt 10 is extended toward the unloading section 4 side of the drive belt 2 to form the unloading guide section 11. A pressing device 14 consisting of a pressing roller 12 and a pressing spring 13 configured similarly to the pressing device 9 is provided behind the vertical portion facing the driving belt 2 , and the vertical portion of the presser belt 10 facing the drive belt 2 is connected to the driving belt 2 . It is configured so that it can be pressed in the horizontal direction (Y direction) on the side of the unloading section 4. In the figure, 15 is the input port for load 3, 16 is the discharge port,
17 is a pulley for wrapping the drive belt 2; 18 is a tension pulley for applying tension to the drive belt 2;
Reference numeral 19 denotes a pulley over which the presser belt 6 is passed, and 20 is a pulley over which the presser belt 10 is passed.

When the drive belt 2 is driven in the A direction by the drive pulley 1, the presser belt 6 that is in contact with the drive belt 2 is also driven in the A direction, and on the other hand, the presser belt 6
and 10 are pressed in the directions approaching each other (X, Y directions) by the respective pressing devices 9 and 14, and as shown by solid lines in FIG. Therefore, the presser belt 10 is also driven in the A direction (if the pressing devices 9 and 14 are not activated or not present, the state is a virtual line).

In this state, when the load 3 is thrown into the carry-in section 5 of the drive belt 2 from the input port 15, the load 3 is transported along the drive belt 2 in the direction C. When the load 3 reaches between the presser belts 6 and 10, it is clamped between the presser belt 10 and the drive belt 2 by the action of the pressing devices 9 and 14, and due to this clamping force, it rises in the direction C without falling. Begin to. At this time, since the drive belt 2 is given tension by the tensioning pulley 18, a force is applied in the direction D from the loading section 5 to the lower end of the presser belt 10. This helps prevent No. 3 from falling. Presser belt 10 and drive belt 2
The load 3 held between the vertical parts of the presser belts 6 and 1
Since the edges of both ends of the presser belt 10 overlap, the load can rise further without spilling, and the presser belt 10
It is conveyed along the carry-out guide part 11 onto the carry-out part 4 of the drive belt 2, and then discharged from the end of the carry-out part 4 into the discharge port 16.
