PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a driving motor to be used exclusively for rotating a cooling fan, by a system wherein the rotation of a motor for transversely feeding a carrier supporting a printing head thereon is mechanically transmitted to rotatable vanes to rotate the vanes. CONSTITUTION:A bevel gear 8 is fitted to a rotary shaft of a motor 3, and rotary vanes 6 for cooling are fitted to a bevel gear 7 engaged with the gear 8. Therefore, the rotation of the motor 3 is transmitted to the vanes 6 through the bevel gears 7, 8 to rotate the vanes 6.
