In general, the turn signals of motorcycles are easily broken due to the characteristics of motorcycles, such as when the vehicle falls over. For this reason, the direction indicator of a two-wheeled vehicle employs a mounting structure that allows the lamp body to be easily replaced. However, the mounting position of the turn signal light body on motorcycles varies depending on the vehicle model, so even if only the mechanical mounting structure is the same,
The length of the lead wire drawn out from the lamp in advance to connect the electrical wiring between the lamp and the vehicle body side had to be prepared in different lengths for each car model, which was a hassle. . Of course, if the lead wire drawn out from the lamp body is too short, it is no good, but if it is too long, it will be difficult to handle the extra length, and the appearance will be seriously damaged. Therefore, even if the lamps have mechanically the same mounting structure,
In order to accommodate different mounting positions, a greater number of different types of lamp bodies with the same mounting structure had to be created, each of which was differentiated by the length of the lead wire.
For these reasons, it has been particularly difficult to integrate the parts of turn signals for motorcycles. In addition, conventional turn signals require space to connect the lead wires drawn out from the lamp body to the wiring on the vehicle body, which greatly limits the degree of freedom in designing the exterior of the vehicle body.

This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and its purpose is to make it easier to replace the lamp body of a direction indicator than before, and to make it easier to replace the lamp body of the same type. For example, it can be installed in different mounting positions, making it possible to integrate parts and eliminating the need to take up space to electrically connect the light body to the vehicle body, giving a large degree of freedom in external design. An object of the present invention is to provide a mounting structure for a direction indicator of a two-wheeled vehicle, which also provides the following advantages.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a mounting structure for a direction indicator of a two-wheeled vehicle according to this invention. In the figure, first, a lamp body 1 is detachably attached to a vehicle body via a stay 2. An exterior part 3 made of synthetic resin is attached to the stay 2. Further, the lamp body 1 includes a base portion 4 and a cover portion 5. The base part 4 is made of synthetic resin and has a socket part 7 for holding a light bulb 6 in a detachable manner. The cover part 5 is made of transparent or semi-transparent synthetic resin, and a lens part or a light scattering part is integrally formed therein as required. This cover portion 5 is attached to the base portion 4 by screwing or fitting. Here, positive and negative leads 8, 8 are led out from the light bulb socket portion 7, and a wiring 9 for lighting the light bulb 6 is provided on the vehicle body side. Here, the electrical connection between the lamp body 1 side and the vehicle body side is made via a plug-in connector 10 whose terminals are fitted in a concave and convex manner and the connected state is maintained by lateral pressure. At the same time, the insertion side part 11 and the receiving side part 12 of the plug-in connector 10 are divided into the vehicle body side and the lamp body 1 side and fixed to each side. Further, the lamp body 1 is arranged in the insertion direction (in the direction of the arrow) in which the insertion side portion 11 and the reception side portion 12 are connected to each other to form an electrical connection.
Mechanical attachment part 15 for detachably attaching to the vehicle body side
is provided. To explain the embodiment in further detail, the plug-in portion 11 and the receiving portion 12 of the connector 10 each have a flange-like mounting portion 1.
3 and 14, and the insertion side part 11 is held between the stay 2 on the vehicle body side and the exterior part 3 by the mounting parts 13 and 14, and the receiving side part 12 is held between the base part 4 of the lamp body 1. It is locked in a state where it is inserted into the lamp body 1, and is thereby integrated with the lamp body 1. The mechanical mounting part 15 is made up of mounting screws 16, 16 that connect the lamp body 1 and the stay 2 to each other, and by tightening the mounting screws 16, 16, the lamp body can be inserted. It is designed so that it can be attached to the vehicle body side in opposition to the direction in which the connector 10 is removed.

Now, with the above configuration, firstly, the lead wire is not drawn out from the lamp body 1 as in the conventional case, and the terminal of the wiring 9 on the vehicle body side is connected to the plug-in connector 10 described above. It is connected and fixed to the side part 11. Therefore, when replacing the light body 1, it is possible to use a light body with the same mechanical mounting structure regardless of the mounting position, which differs depending on the vehicle type. In addition, by mechanically attaching it to the vehicle body using the attachment part 15, the plug-in connector 10 can be connected even in the attached state, so that electrical connections can be made without the need for separate wiring work. The connections are completed at the same time. Therefore, the installation work is much simpler than in the past, and the ease of assembly in the assembly process is further improved. Furthermore, it is no longer necessary to take up space for wiring and connection using lead wires, which improves the degree of freedom in external design. The lamp body 1 can be adapted to different mounting positions for each vehicle type even though it has the same mounting structure, and this makes it possible to integrate the parts of a direction indicator for a two-wheeled vehicle, which has been difficult in the past. In particular, in this invention, the electrical connection between the lamp body 1 and the vehicle body side is achieved by using a plug-in connector 10 in which the terminals fit in a concave and convex manner in the insertion direction and the connected state is maintained by lateral pressure. , the connection range can be widened, and even if there is some dimensional variation between the mechanical attachment part and the electrical connection part of the lamp body 1, it can be absorbed and there is no possibility of electrical connection failure. You won't fall into it. In addition, since the direction in which the plug-in connector 10 is inserted and the direction in which the light body 1 is attached by tightening the screws are the same, the connection of the plug-in connector 10 can be maintained and promoted at the same time as the light body 1 is installed. Furthermore, when installing the light body 1, the plug-in connector 10
By inserting the light body 1, it is possible to temporarily fix the light body 1 in a state where it is almost positioned on the vehicle body side, and the workability when attaching and removing the light body 1 is improved.

Fig. 2 shows another embodiment of this invention, and the main difference from the above embodiment is that the receiving side portion 12 of the plug-in connector 10 is attached to the stay 2 on the vehicle body side. Furthermore, the mounting portion 13 includes a flange portion 13a and a locking claw 13b for preventing removal.
The structure is such that it can be installed in a single operation. Further, the insertion side portion 11 on the lamp body 1 side is formed by the tips of the leads 8, 8 led out from the light bulb socket portion 7, and this portion is inserted into the receiving side portion 12 in the direction of the arrow. connected to make an electrical connection. This further simplifies the configuration of the connector 10.

As described above, the motorcycle turn signal mounting structure invented by this invention not only simplifies the work of replacing the light body, but also improves the ease of assembly in the assembly process, and also allows for greater freedom in the exterior design of the vehicle body. In addition, the same lighting body can be adapted to different mounting positions for each vehicle model, which makes it possible to integrate parts.
