Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an organic glass pane from being deformed by thermal expansion, by connecting the organic glass pane in a lighting window to a frame by a connecting member in a relatively dislocatable manner, and installing an absorbing device between this connecting member and the frame. CONSTITUTION:A car light window 1 is provided with a yokelike frame 3 having an outer side engaged part 3a made of bending an outer peripheral edge upward, and an organic glass pane 4 is attached to this frame 3. In this case, plural connecting holes 3y are installed in a peripheral edge part of the frame 3, while projections 3d are formed at both sides of this connecting hole 3y. And, after the organic glass pane 4 is placed on these projections 3d in a point contact state, the organic glass pane 4 is attached thereto in a slippage shiftable manner by a bolt 8 as a connecting member being smaller in diameter that of each connecting hole 3y. In addition, each clearance S as an absorbing device absorbing expansion or contraction of the organic glass pane 4 is formed between the bolt 8 and the connecting hole 3y as well as between an end face of the organic glass pane 4 and the outer engaged part 3a.

However, in recent years, as automobiles have become more lightweight, the lighting window 52 has also been reduced in weight. and,
An inorganic glass plate 57 is used as a means to reduce the weight of the lighting window 52.
One possibility is to change the material to an organic glass plate.

The reason why the central part of the organic glass plate protrudes upward or becomes flat is that the organic glass plate is fixed to the frame 53 and the adhesive 54 at the lower peripheral edge of the organic glass plate.
and that the coefficient of thermal expansion or contraction of the organic glass plate is considerably larger than that of the inorganic glass plate 57 (for example, the width is 800 mm).
When an organic glass plate made of polymethyl methacrylate (mm) is heated from room temperature to 90'C, it will elongate by about 3 mm. On the other hand, when the organic glass plate goes from room temperature to a low temperature of -30°C, it shrinks by the same amount of change in length as above.

Therefore, the present inventors used an organic glass plate as a lighting part of a daylighting window for an automobile, and even if the organic glass plate thermally expands or contracts, the central part of the organic glass plate does not protrude upward or the organic glass plate becomes flat. The present invention was completed as a result of various research aimed at developing a lighting window for vehicles with a unique structure.

Structure of the Invention (Means for Solving Problems) The present invention provides a lighting window for a vehicle in which an organic glass plate is disposed so as to be movable relative to a frame-like frame by a connecting member, A lighting window for a vehicle, comprising an absorbing means for absorbing a change in length due to thermal deformation of the organic glass plate at least between the connecting member and the frame or between the connecting member and the organic glass plate. This is an attempt to solve the above problems.

(Function) An organic glass plate is connected to a frame-like frame by a connecting member so as to be able to move relative to the organic glass plate, and a connection member between the connecting member and the organic glass plate or between the connecting member and the frame is formed. Since an absorbing means is provided in between to absorb the change in length due to thermal deformation of the organic glass plate, when the organic glass plate is exposed to sunlight or at a low temperature, the peripheral edge of the organic glass plate will not touch the frame. Expand or contract without restraint.

In the vehicle lighting window 1 of this embodiment, the outer peripheral edge of the frame-shaped frame 3 is bent upward to form an outer locking part 3a, and the peripheral edge has a connecting hole for inserting a bolt, which will be described later. 3y are bored in the circumferential direction at predetermined intervals.

Then, a bolt 8 having a smaller diameter than the connecting hole 3y is inserted as a connecting member from the back side of the frame 3 through a washer 14.
The frame 3 passes through the connecting hole 3y and is screwed into the glass plate 4, thereby connecting the frame 3 and the organic glass plate 4. Therefore, the organic glass plate 4 is attached to the frame 3 by the port 8 and the washer 14 so that it cannot be moved in the vertical direction, but is movable in the horizontal direction.

A weather strip 2, which is fixed to the outer locking part 3a of the frame 3, is locked to the upper peripheral edge of the organic glass plate 4, and the lower surface of the inner upper peripheral edge 2b is connected to the upper peripheral edge of the organic glass plate 4. It is in close contact with the sealant 7 through the sealant 7. Note that a lip portion 2C is formed on the outer peripheral edge of the weather strip 2 and comes into contact with the end surface of the roof of the automobile.

A gap S is formed between the organic glass plate 4 and the organic glass plate 4 as an absorbing means for absorbing expansion and contraction of the organic glass plate 4, and a change in length of the organic glass plate 4 due to heat is absorbed.

The organic glass plate 4 is connected to the frame 3 by bolts 8 so as to be in point contact with the frame 3.
Since a gap S is formed between the frame 3 and the frame 3,
When the organic glass plate 4 is subjected to a temperature change, its periphery causes a relative displacement movement with respect to the frame 3.

That is, when the organic glass plate 4 thermally expands under sunlight, its peripheral portion tends to extend outward. At this time, the bolt 8 screwed onto the peripheral edge also moves, but since a gap S is formed between the bolt 8 and the frame 3, the organic glass plate 8 screwed with the bolt 8 moves. The peripheral edge of the organic glass plate 4 shifts without being restrained by the frame 3, and the gap S absorbs the change in the length of the organic glass plate 4. Therefore, the organic glass plate 4, which has an upwardly convex curved surface, expands naturally, and its central portion does not protrude upward.

Further, since a gap S is also formed on the outer periphery of the end surface of the organic glass plate 4, the change in length of the organic glass plate 4 is also absorbed by this gap S.

On the other hand, when the organic glass plate 4 is placed under low temperature, it contracts. At this time, the bolt 8 screwed into the peripheral edge of the organic glass plate 4 also moves. Since a gap S is provided between the frame 3 and the bolt 8, the peripheral edge of the organic glass plate 4, to which the bolt 8 is screwed, can shift without being restrained by the frame 8. Therefore, the contraction of the organic glass plate 4 occurs naturally, and the curved organic glass plate 4 does not become flat.

The insertion hole 4y of the stepped portion 4a of the organic glass plate 4 is provided with a sponge bush 13 and a washer 14 as absorbing means S1 for absorbing changes in the length of the organic glass plate 4,
A connecting member 8 whose distal end is split in half is inserted, and the distal end of this connecting member 8 is inserted into the connecting hole 3y of the frame 3.

Then, the sponge bush 13 between the organic glass plate 4 and the connecting member 8 is compressed to absorb the change in length, and the peripheral edge of the organic glass plate 4 is attached to the weather strip 2 and the frame 3. They move without restraint and cause relative displacement movements with respect to them. Since the plane of the washer 14 is larger than the diameter of the insertion hole 4y, even if the organic glass plate 4 moves during the displacement movement, it will not come off from the connecting member 8. Furthermore, the gap S is filled with a sealant 7, and since the sealants 1 to 7 have appropriate adhesiveness, there is no problem in the movement of the organic glass plate 4.

Effects of the Invention As detailed above, the present invention uses an organic glass plate as a lighting section of a vehicle lighting window, and also connects the organic glass plate to a frame-like frame by a connecting member so as to be able to move relative to the frame. Moreover, since the absorbing means is provided between the connecting member and the frame or between the organic glass plate, even if the organic glass plate is subjected to thermal deformation, the absorbing means will not reduce the length due to the thermal deformation. It has an excellent effect in that it absorbs the changes and does not cause the central part to bulge upward or become flat and unnaturally deformed. Therefore,
The appearance of a vehicle roof equipped with this vehicle lighting window can be maintained in good condition forever, and the dignity of the vehicle can be maintained.
