Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sealability and durability by inserting a spacer into a notch formed in the base of a subseal part, deforming an edge of the notch along the spacer, while making this edge contact with the top of a main seal part and thereby constituting a relay part there. CONSTITUTION:A notch 12 is formed in a part (forming a relay part 10) of the base of a subseal part 7. Next, a spacer 13 consisting of sponge rubber is inserted into this notch 12. This spacer 13 is made into such a form as extending in a hollow part of the subseal part 7 from a water supplying groove 8. When the spacer 13 such like is inserted thereinto, an edge at the upper side of the notch 12 is deformed along a surface form of the spacer 13, and it comes to an almost flat surface part 11 and contacts with the top of a main seal part 6. Consequently, the whole surface part inclusive of the relay part 10 comes to a smooth skin layer by means of extruding molding. In consequence, sealability and durability both are improved as compared with the conventional one.

Means for Solving the Problems As a means for solving the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a main seal part, which the peripheral edge of the door glass comes into contact with, on the side surface of the support column extended to the mounting base, and a main seal part of the door glass. This is a basic cross section provided with a hollow sub-seal part whose end surfaces abut, and a water supplementary groove connected to the main seal part and the sub-seal part. In a weather strip in which a transition portion is formed in which the top portions are connected in a substantially flat surface, a notch is formed in a part of the base of the sub-seal portion, and the water-supplementing groove is inserted into the hollow portion of the sub-seal portion. The transition portion is constructed by inserting an extending spacer, deforming the edge of the notch along the spacer, and connecting the edge to the top of the main seal portion.

1 and 2, the weather strip 101 according to the present invention is similar to the conventional weather strip whose basic cross section is shown in FIG.
It has the same shape as strip 1. That is, a hollow support section 4 is extended to the mounting base 3, and a hollow main seal section 6 and a hollow sub-seal section 7 are extended to the side surfaces of the support section 4. It has a shape in which water supplementary grooves 8 are connected. And other parts (
For example, the structure of the transition portion 10 that the center seal rubber 9) comes into contact with is significantly different from that of the conventional weather strip 1.

When forming the transition part IO, first, the entire length of the weather strip 101 in the longitudinal direction is formed into the above-mentioned basic cross section by extrusion molding, and then, as shown in FIG. A notch 12 is formed in the portion forming the transfer portion 10). In the case of this embodiment, the notch 12 has notches 1 at both ends of the linear notch 12a.
2b. Next, a spacer 13 made of sponge rubber is inserted into this notch 12. This spacer 13 is shaped so that when inserted into the notch 12, it extends from the water supplementary groove 8 into the hollow part of the sub-seal part 7. When the spacer 13 is inserted in this way, the upper edge of the notch 12 is deformed along the surface shape of the spacer 13, and becomes a substantially planar portion 11 as shown in FIGS. connected to the top of the

.. The main seal portion 6 is also deformed, and in this state it comes into close contact with the flat portion 11. Here, since the plane portion 11 of the transfer portion 10 is a skin layer, it is in close contact with another member (center seal rubber 9) smoothly and with high sealing performance.

In addition, in the above explanation, weather strip, whelk 10
Although the contact portion of the center seal rubber 9 has been cited as an example of the adoption of method 1, this is not limited to the contact portion of the center seal rubber 9, but it is also possible to adopt the contact portion of a corner piece, the end portion of a door, etc. Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, the transition part is formed in the same way as the conventional one by molding, such as the external shape, etc.
It is possible to obtain a sufficient contact surface with other parts, and in addition, the surface of the transition part can be made into a skin layer by extrusion molding, so by doing this, the transition part can be smoothly and reliably attached to other parts. You will be able to make close contact. As a result, both sealing performance and durability are improved compared to conventional ones.
