【発明の詳細な説明】 ！″、産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はプリンタに関し、特にテスト印字機能を有する
プリンタに関する。
［従来の技術］ 従来、この種のプリンタはテスト印字機能を有していて
、その結果として、印字可能文字及び図形を羅列するも
のであった。
し発明が解決しようとする問題点〕 上述した従来のプリンタはテスト印字機能として印字さ
れる字体及び図形をプリンタ使用者によって確認するだ
けであり、テスト印字機能そのものにおいては、ホスト
側から印字データを送らずにプリンタの印字動作を確認
するという意味しか持ち得す、基本仕様の確認が出来な
いという欠点があった。
（問題点を解決するための手段Ｊ 本発明のプリンタはテスト印字機能を持つプリンタにお
いて、少なくとらプリンタの基本仕様を記憶したメモリ
を有している。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明の実施例について図面を参照して説明する
。
図面は本発明の一実施例を示す。図において、本実施例
はテスト印字機能を持つプリンタ１０て、プリンタの基
本１士様を示すデータが記憶されているメモリ（ＲＯＭ
＞１１を有している。この）“リンタ基本仕様としては
、操作型の機能、印字速度。
印字可能範囲、ＥＳＣコードによる特殊命令等が角マれ
る。プリンタ１０は、テスト印字機能の際、基本仕様を
印字結毛ヒして表現するためのデータをＲＯＭｌ１から
読み出し、プリンタ内部にもつテスト印字機能によりこ
のデータを用紙１２に印字し基本１士様表を作成する、 ［発明の効果Ｊ 以上説明したように本発明は、プリンタのテスト印字デ
ータとして、プリンタの基本仕様を印字することにより
、プリンタ使用者にとって従来無意味であったテスト印
字結果を、ＩＹｉ便な基本仕様表として利用できるとい
う効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. テスト印字機能を持つプリンタにおいて、少なくともプ
    リンタの基本仕様を記憶したメモリを含みテスト印字結
    果として、前記プリンタの基本仕様を印字することを特
    徴とするプリンタ。
