る常時開放の第1の吸気ポートと、エンジンの高
負荷高回転運転域においてのみ開放する吸気制御
弁を有しかつ燃焼室内にストレートの吸気を供給
する第2の吸気ポートと、燃料噴射弁を設けた第
3の吸気ポートとを具備し、これら第1、第2及
び第3の各吸気ポートを、第1、第2及び第3の
吸気弁を介して燃焼室にそれぞれ接続し前記第3
の吸気弁の開弁時期を吸気行程中央付近となした
複吸気弁エンジンにおいて、前記第1及び第2の
吸気ポート上流側を合流させて主吸気ポートとな
し、前記第3の吸気ポート上流側は該主吸気ポー
トと隔離した副吸気ポートとなし、これら主及び
副の吸気ポートの上流側に、エンジンの低負荷時
に前記副吸気ポートのみを開放しエンジンの高負
荷時に前記主及び副の両吸気ポートを共に開放す
る共通のスロツトルバルブを設け、該スロツトル
バルブの上流側に前記燃料噴射弁を設けたことを
