Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は樹脂加工装置用マシニングセンタに関する。
〔従来の技術〕
プラスチック、ビニール又はポリエチレン等の熱可塑性
樹脂の加工部分に超音波振動を加工用チップを介して付
与しつつ溶接、縫合又は成形等の加工を行なう樹脂加工
装置は公知であり現在様々な分野で広く利用されている
然しなから、従来の公知の樹脂加工装置は、例えば、樹
脂の種類又は厚さ等によって加工用子ノブや超音波出力
、或いはその出力振動周波数を適宜に選定することが困
難であり、その選択を誤ると加工に時間がかかったり又
は加工が円滑に行なわれないことになると云う問題点が
あり、更に工具の管理、交換等に多くの人手を要すると
云う問題があった。
部ち、被加工体の加工面積が広ければそれに応じて上記
超音波加工用工具の超音波発振器も出力の高いものが要
求され、また、微細な加工を行なう際には超音波加工用
工具及びその先端に取り付けられる加工用チップも小型
に形成されていると共に、超音波発振器も出力の小さい
もの、或いはさらには振動周波数の高いもの等が要求さ
れる。
然しなから、現在、樹脂加工に於て、各種各様の樹脂の
種類又は加工形状等に応じ得る多数の超音波加工用工具
を具備し、随時最適の超音波加工用工具、或いはさらに
振動周波数を選定して加工を行ない得る装置は開発され
ていない。
〔本発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
本発明は斜上の観点に立ってなされたものであって、そ
の目的とするところは、樹脂の種類又は加工形状等に応
じて適宜最適の超音波加工用工具、或いはさらに振動周
波数を選択し、如何なる樹脂でもその加工形状及び加工
の目的に応じて効果的に加工し得る樹脂加工装置用マシ
ニングセンタを提供しようとするものである。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕 而して、上記の目的は、超音波発振器に適宜のホーンを
介して夫々形状の異なる加工用チップを取付けて成る超
音波加工用工具を複数個収容したマガジンと、被加工体
が載置されるクロススライ1′テーブルと、上記マガジ
ン内の各種超音波加工用工具が取付けられる加工ヘッド
とを有し、所望の樹脂加工を行ない得る加工装置と、予
め定められたプログラムに従い上記マガジン内の各超音
波加工用工具を選択し、上記加工装置に着脱し得る工具
自動交換装置と、上記各構成要素の動作を一括制御する
装置とから成る樹脂加工装置マシニングセンタによって
達成される。
〔作 用〕
上記の如(、各種形状寸法の異なる加工用チップに、夫
々上記加工用チップに適応した超音波発振器が取り付け
られた超音波加工用工具を随時選択し得るので、予め定
められたプログラムにより常時最適の加工方法が採用で
き、樹脂の種類又は厚さ等に応じて所望の加工を正確且
つ迅速に行なうことが可能となる。
〔実 施 例〕
以下、図面により本発明の詳細を具体的に説明する。
図面は、本発明にかかる樹脂加工装置用マシニングセン
タの一実施例を示す説明図である。
図中、■は樹脂加工装置、2は超音波加工用工具、3は
超音波発振器、4はホーン、5は上記ホーン4の先端に
取り付けられた加工用チップ、6は一端に上記超音波加
工用工具2が取り付けられ、他の一端が油圧シリンダ7
のロッド8に固定された取付部材、9は上記油圧シリン
ダ7への油の流れを切り換える油圧切換弁、10は油圧
ポンプ、11は油タンク、12はアンビル、13は熱可
塑性樹脂等で形成された被加工体、14及び15はクロ
ススライドテーブル、16は上記クロススライドテーブ
ル14及び15が搭載される基台、17及び18は上記
クロススライドテーブル14及び15をX軸及びY軸方
向に移動させるモータ、19は上記モータ17のシャフ
ト17aに取り付けられた送りねじ、20は各種形状寸
法の異なる加工用チップ21.22、詔及び24に、夫
々上記加工用チップ21.22、詔及び24に適応した
超音波発振器25.26.27及び28が取り付けられ
た複数の超音波加工用工具29.30.31及び32が
収容されたマガジン、33はマガジン20と樹脂加工装
置lの取付部材6との間で超音波加工用工具の授受を行
なう工具自動交換装置、34は取付部材6に交換して取
り付けられた超音波加工用工具2の各超音波発振器3、
四、26.27、詔に適合した周波数の電力を供給する
超音波発振電源、35は各部を予め定められたプログラ
ムに従って一括制御する制御装置である。
而して、超音波加工用工具2は超音波発振器3、ホーン
4及び加工用チップ5から構成されており、油圧シリン
ダ7のロッド8に取付部材6を介して取り付けられてい
る。そして、油圧ポンプ10から油圧シリンダ7に供給
される油の流れが油圧切換弁9によって切り換えられる
ことによって上下に移動せしめられる。
熱可塑性樹脂等で形成された被加工体13が取り付けら
れるクロススライドテーブル14及び15は基台16上
に搭載され、モータ17及び18の回動に伴ってX軸及
びY軸方向に移動せしめられる。
超音波加工用工具2の加工用チップ5の下方にはアンビ
ル12が設けられており、上記アンビル12上には被加
工体13の加工部分13aが載置される。
工具自動交換装置33は、その胴部33aに対して旋回
自在に設けられた旋回部33bと、上記旋回部33 b
に対して回動・伸縮自在に設けられたアーム33 cと
、その先端に回動自在に取り付けられた把持部33dと
から構成され、所定のプログラムに従って樹脂加工装置
lの取付部材6から超音波加工用工具2を取り外し、マ
ガジン20との間で超音波加工用工具の授受を行ない得
るように構成されている。
而して、新たな樹脂加工又は樹脂加工が所定の加工領域
の加工を終了した時点で、取付部材6に取り付けられた
超音波加工用工具2が交換される際には、加工が一旦停
止されると共に、制御装置35が油圧切換弁9を切り換
えて取付部材6を上方に引き上げる。これと同時に上記
取付部材6の挟持作用が解除されると共に、工具自動交
換装置33によって上記超音波加工用工具2が上記取付
部材6から取り外されて、マガジン20内の所定の位置
に返還される。
上記超音波加工用工具2の返還動作が完了すると、工具
自動交換装置33が工具マガジン20内に収容された超
音波加工用工具29.30.31又は32のうちから所
定の超音波加工用工具及び超音波発振電源34の所定の
周波数出力を選択し、その超音波加」二相工具が取付部
材6に取り付けられると、上記超音波加工用工具が被加
工体13に向かって押し下げられる。
而して、アンビル12の上に載置された被加工体13の
加工部分13aは、上記超音波加工用工具の加工用チッ
プによって強い圧力で押圧されると共に、超音波発振器
からホーンを介して所定選択周波数及び出力の超音波振
動が与えられて加工が行なわれる。
而して、アンビル12と加工用チップとの間に挾持され
た被加工体13の加工部分13aは、その加工に一番通
した超音波加工用工具によって適切な超音波振動が付与
されつつ加工が行なわれるで、短時間に確実に接着され
る。
以上説明した如く上記一連の作業は、マシニングセンタ
全体を統括制御する制御装置35のコンピュータに入力
されたプログラムに従って行なわれるものである。
なお、図面では省略したが、マガジン20内には超音波
発振器3に取り付けられる形状及び大きさの異なる種々
のホーン及び加工用チップも収容されており、上記超音
波発振器3に加工状態又は加工形状等に応じて適宜に自
動交換が行なわれるように構成されている。また、加工
によっては最適発振周波数や発振出力の異なる種々の超
音波発振器を上記マガジン20内に備えておき、加工の
進行と共に上記超音波発振器を交換するように構成して
も良い。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明は斜上の如く構成されるから本発明によるときは
、各種形状寸法の異なる加工用チップと、夫々の加工用
チップに適応した超音波発振器を組み合せて成る超音波
加工用工具のなかから随時最適なものを選択し得るので
、常時最適の加工方法が採用でき、樹脂の種類又は厚さ
等に左右されることなく所望の加工を正確且つ迅速に行
なうことが可能となる。また、上述の如く各部の制御は
マシニングセンタ全体を統括制御する制御装置35のコ
ンピュータに入力されたプログラムに従って行なわれる
ので、長時間にわたる無人運転も可能となる。
なお、本発明の構成は斜上の実施例に限定されるもので
はない。即ち、例えば、本実施例に於ては取付部材を油
圧シリンダによって昇降させるようにしたが、油圧シリ
ンダに限定されず他の公知の昇降装置が利用できるもの
である。また、縫合のみでなく成形加工等も可能であり
、又超音波以外の熱収縮加工等も施すことができる。更
にまた、熱可塑性樹脂の加工部分を加圧し、上記加工部
分に超音波振動を付与すると共に、レーザ光等の出力を
適宜調整し上記加工部分に照射しつつ加工を行なうよう
に構成してもよい。その他、マガジン内に収容する超音
波加工用工具の種類及びその加工用チップの形状、取付
部材への超音波加工用工   ′具の取り付は方法及び
各部の制御の仕方等は、本発明の目的の範囲内で自由に
設計変更できるものであって、本発明それらの総てを包
摂するものである。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 下記a)項乃至d)記載の構成要素から成る樹脂加工装
    置用マシニングセンタ。 a)超音波発振器に適宜のホーンを介して夫々寸法、形
    状の異なる加工用チップを取付けて成る超音波加工用工
    具を複数個収容したマガジン。 b)被加工体が搭載されるクロススライドテーブルと、
    上記マガジン内の各種超音波加工用工具が取付けられる
    加工ヘッドとを有し、所望の樹脂加工を行ない得る加工
    装置。 c)予め定められたプログラムに従い上記マガジン内の
    各超音波加工用工具を選択し、上記加工装置に着脱し得
    る工具自動交換装置。 d)上記各構成要素の動作を一括制御する装置。
