Claims

[Claim for Utility Model Registration] A stocker in which a number of thin cartridges with disks stored inside them are stored in parallel in a number of storage shelves, and information is written to and read from the disks in each cartridge. The device has a player, and a carrier that linearly transports cartridges selectively pulled out from inside the stocker and supplies them to the player, and the carrier is linearly transported along the front surface of the stocker. The tip of a pair of pull-out claws provided on the carrier is moved along a pair of pull-out claw engaging grooves provided on both sides of each end of a large number of cartridges stored in the stocker. A long positioning member is disposed on a side surface of the stocker, parallel to the transport direction of the carrier, and extending over almost the entire length of the stocker. The positioning member is rotatably supported on the side surface of the stocker by a rotary member so as to be able to move in and out of the stocker, and the positioning member is inserted into the stocker by a spring after the cartridge is inserted into each storage shelf of the stocker. By moving it to the stocker, it can be stored inside the stocker. The positioning members are simultaneously engaged in the positioning grooves provided on each side of a large number of cartridges, and the groove width of the pair of pull-out pawl engaging grooves of these large number of cartridges is centered.
