Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve vibration resistance and shock resistance by making a rodlike or platelike lead wire wide and securing sufficient area for soldering. CONSTITUTION:A support 19 fixed to an inner lead 18 by welding etc. is fixed to fixing electrodes 16, 16' through a solder 17. The size in horizontal direction (width: w) of the support 19 is made larger than the size in vertical direction (thickness: t) to a crystal oscillator 13, and thereby the area for soldering can be secured sufficiently. By such constitution, the vibration resistance and shock resistance can be improved. The same effect can be obtained by making fixing part to the vibrator wide in width.

In the conventional piezoelectric vibrator, one end of the holding member 4 is welded to the inner lead 5 of the stem 6, and the opposite end of the holding member 4 is welded to the inner lead 5 of the stem 6. The other tip was formed into a coil shape and held on both sides of the crystal oscillation piece 10, and a conductive adhesive 5 or the like was applied to this holding portion.

In this way, in conventional examples, conductive adhesives are used, which causes problems with the vibration and shock resistance of the piezoelectric vibrator due to the inherent fragility of conductive adhesives, and the process is complicated and difficult to work with. This method had the drawbacks of poor performance and increased man-hours. As a solution to this problem, soldering is the preferred method of attachment, which has excellent vibration and shock resistance and can reduce man-hours. Sufficient adhesive strength could not be obtained.

The present invention is intended to solve the above problems, and its purpose is to increase the vibration and shock resistance by widening the rod-shaped and plate-shaped lead wires and ensuring a sufficient area for soldering. The aim is to improve this and also reduce the number of man-hours.

In the piezoelectric vibrator of the present invention, excitation electrodes are formed on the front and back surfaces of a piezoelectric plate, electrically conductive with the excitation electrodes, and connected to a connection electrode around the piezoelectric plate, and one excitation i-electrode facing the piezoelectric plate. The ends of the connecting electrodes that conduct electricity are formed), and are directly fixed to the connecting electrodes with a solder or the like. Horizontal direction (width direction) with respect to the excitation electrode of the piezoelectric plate of the plate-shaped lead wire or the rod-shaped or plate-shaped support fixed to the lead wire.
The structure is characterized in that the dimension is the same as or larger than the dimension in the vertical direction (thickness).

FIGS. 2(A) and 2(B) are front and plan views showing an embodiment of the circular thick rainbow crystal resonator of the present invention, in which the excitation electrode 14 is placed on the main surface of the crystal oscillation piece 15, and Crystal oscillation occurs from the connection side 15 that conducts with the excitation electrode 14, the fixing side 16 formed at the end of the connection electrode 15, and the end of the connection electrode 15' of the other excitation electrode 14' facing the excitation electrode 14. A fixing electrode 16' is formed on the side surface of the piece 15 and is electrically conductive. Further, a fixing electrode 20 that is electrically connected to the connection electrode 15 is also formed on the excitation electrode 14' side.
